Who we are
Mowdew is operated by Vuedooh Technologies LLP ("Mowdew", "we", "us"). Mowdew is a two-sided platform for recurring home services: the business (a garden or pool service and its field pros) runs its book and records every visit; the homeowner sees the verified record of work on their own property — free, forever.
Questions, requests, or anything privacy-related: hello@mowdew.com.
The short version
- We collect only what's needed to log a visit, build an invoice from those visits, and show the homeowner the same record.
- Location is captured per visit only — at check-in and check-out — never continuously and never in the background between jobs.
- Photos shown to a homeowner are stripped of EXIF/GPS metadata on upload.
- We do not process payments or move money — payment is a deep link to your own Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.
- We don't sell your data, run advertising, or embed cross-app trackers.
What we collect & why
Account information
Your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number, used to create your account, sign you in, and send service-related email. We use Supabase Auth (magic-link, Google, and Apple Sign-In) — we never see or store your social-login password.
Property & service details
For a business: the customers, properties, service cadence, and per-customer pricing that make up your book. For a homeowner: the properties tied to your account and the services performed on them.
Visit records
Each visit's check-in and check-out time, the property it belongs to, and the per-visit location used to verify it (see Location). For pool service we also store readings such as pH and chlorine.
Photos
Before/after photos and pool test-strip photos captured in the field (see Photos).
Payment handles
The business's own payment handles (the Venmo / PayPal / Zelle identifiers it prints on invoices) so a homeowner can pay in one tap. We store the handle — never card numbers, bank details, or balances.
Location — per visit, never continuous
Location is an assist for recording work, and nothing more. A pro's device captures location only at the moment of check-in and check-out, to confirm the visit happened at the right property. Mowdew does not track a pro's location continuously, does not follow them between jobs, and does not log location while the app is in the background for any purpose other than the geofenced arrival/departure of a scheduled visit.
A pro can always log a visit manually — bad GPS, a dead battery, or no signal can never block recorded work. Per-visit location is shared only with the business that employs the pro and with the homeowner of that specific property — never with anyone else.
Photos — metadata stripped
Field photos can carry hidden metadata, including the exact GPS coordinates where they were taken. Before a photo is shown to a homeowner, Mowdew strips its EXIF and GPS metadata, so a homeowner-facing image carries no embedded location. Photos are stored privately and served through short-lived signed links, not public URLs.
What we never do
- No card processing or money movement. Mowdew never touches the money. Paying an invoice opens your own Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle with the amount and the business's handle pre-filled — the payment happens entirely in that app, between you and the business.
- No selling or renting your data to anyone, for any purpose.
- No advertising or cross-app tracking. We don't embed ad-network or third-party analytics SDKs that follow you across other apps and sites.
- No continuous location tracking. See Location.
Who sees what
The boundary between sides is enforced in the database itself (row-level security), not just in the interface:
- A homeowner sees only the visits, photos, chemistry, and invoices for their own property — never another homeowner's, and never the business's wider book.
- A business sees its own customers, properties, visits, and invoices — never another business's data.
- A pro works from property labels (e.g. "Crestline Ave pool") and is name-blind to non-opted-in customers — they don't see customer names, contact details, or pricing.
Sub-processors
We use a small set of trusted providers to run the service:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and photo storage.
- Brevo — transactional email (sign-in links, invoice and visit notifications).
These providers process data only to deliver the service on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments.
Data retention
We keep account, visit, and invoice records for as long as your account is active, because the verified visit history is the product — the record both sides rely on. When an account is deleted we remove or anonymize the associated personal data, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal or tax obligations.
Your rights & deletion
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To make a request — including deleting your account and its data — email hello@mowdew.com and we'll action it. If a business holds data about you as its customer, we'll coordinate the request appropriately.
Children
Mowdew is a tool for home-service businesses and homeowners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Mowdew after an update means you accept the revised policy.
